Single Zone (Ductless)
Ideal for heating and cooling small spaces like single rooms or supplementing your current system.
These ductless HVAC systems are best suited for providing air conditioning for single rooms, additions and supplemental support for problem areas in larger homes. Because Daikin provides a zoning solution, you will have control over the comfort of each area fitted with one of our units.
Single Zone Heat Pumps
All Daikin ductless heat pumps consist of an indoor unit, which is either wall-mounted, floor-mounted or concealed, paired with a quiet and compact outdoor unit.
As you likely gathered from its name, a mini-split/ductless system is a split system, which means it has components that are located inside and outside the home. And in the case of heat pumps, they provide year-round comfort by mechanically cooling or heating the air from inside your home while transferring the heat absorbed or lost to the outside via a sealed refrigerant circuit.
Daikin's single-room heat pumps are energy efficient and ideal for heating a small space. They are small and unobtrusive in your home. Imagine your small office or studio being toasty warm without the fuss of a furnace or the hassle of a ducted system at all. With an opening just three inches or smaller in diameter, a ductless mini-split heat pump is easy to install and maintain.
Daikin is the World's No. 1 air conditioning company. Daikin is a leading innovator and worldwide provider of advanced, high-quality air conditioning and heating solutions for residential, commercial and industrial applications. With more than 90 years of operation, Daikin has sold millions of systems throughout 140 countries. But what makes us great isn't just our HVAC systems. It's our personal service, commitment to quality and technological innovations that allow us to be a leading HVAC manufacturer.
In our effort to create homes with the best-quality air, we offer many solutions. For houses in most climates, a split AC system could be your choice for reliably comfortable air in your home.
First, why is it called a "split" air conditioning system? Because it has components that are located inside and outside the home - literally split into two pieces. You may have also heard it referred to as "central air." Consisting of an outdoor unit with a condenser and compressor and an indoor unit with a fan and an evaporator coil, a split air conditioning system works by removing warm air from your home and cycling it back as cooler air through a system of supply and return ducts.
A central air conditioner can help you achieve optimal air in your home. If this option is right for you, your contractor will work with you to get the system that gives your home the best air intelligence.
Installing the correct air handler or evaporator coil is essential for getting the highest level of comfort from your central air conditioning or heat pump system. Air handlers can ramp the motor up and down, regulating the output and ultimately delivering variable airflow and a steady temperature and humidity throughout your home, and can also equip you with exceptional control.
The evaporator coil typically lives on top of a furnace and provides a tremendously important function: as warm air passes over the cold coils, it cools the air, but also removes humidity.
Having a high-efficiency air handler and evaporator coil is a prime way to get the highest level of comfort from your central air conditioning or heat pump system. Make sure that your system is performing to its optimum level with our air handlers and evaporator coils.
To earn our high AFUE ratings, every Daikin brand gas furnace is engineered with a heat exchanger constructed from tubular stainless steel. Often matched with split air conditioning systems, today's furnaces not only do a great job of keeping your home warm during the winter, but the furnace fan, or blower, is also used to assist the air conditioning system in circulating cooled air during warmer seasons. The two-stage or variable-speed blower for your furnace means it doesn't run at an all-or-nothing rate, providing much higher efficiency in all our home furnaces. This intelligent system means improved comfort and lower energy bills for you.
Don't let the name fool you. A heat pump, when matched with an air handler, is an excellent alternative for both heating and cooling your home. Just think of a heat pump as a heat transporter, extracting warm air from your home during the summer, and reversing operation to bring warm air in during the winter. Though it may be difficult to believe there's enough warmth in outdoor air during the winter to heat your home, Daikin systems can actually deliver heat in conditions as low as -13 degrees Fahrenheit to keep you warm and toasty inside. However, in significantly colder climates, a supplemental heat source may be required.
A year-round home comfort solution, a heat pump and air handler system is particularly effective in moderate to warmer regions of the country, and does a fine job of maintaining comfortable indoor temperatures and humidity levels. It also offers the air filtration benefits inherent to forced-air systems, because air is pulled through an air filter. This removes airborne particles and results in cleaner, filtered air being redistributed to your home through air supply ductwork.
Indoor Air Quality
We create and deliver advanced air technologies, leveraging decades of research and development.
That's why our customers can feel confident that every Daikin room air purifier incorporates cutting-edge technologies to improve the indoor air environment.
With two new Daikin room air purifiers to choose from, you can select the model that best suits your home or office environment.
AIR CONDITIONERS: Daikin packaged air conditioners sit on the ground or rooftop outside your home and deliver quiet indoor cooling performance from a single, self-contained unit. Plus, you have the satisfaction of knowing your Daikin system uses quality components so your air is not only cooler, but also refreshing and comfortable.
DUAL FUEL SYSTEMS: For cooling, this system uses an energy-efficient scroll compressor design with fewer moving parts that result in lower energy use compared to units with reciprocating compressors. A Dual Fuel Packaged unit delivers yearlong comfort. This unit can automatically determine the most efficient fuel source to economically maintain your desired conditions within your home.
GAS/ELECTRIC SYSTEMS: A clear understanding of how people inhabit their living spaces has led to products designed to create indoor environments that use energy resources more effectively. For replacement or new construction, a Daikin packaged gas/electric unit offers the cooling comfort of an electric air conditioner and the heating benefits of a gas furnace.
HEAT PUMPS: Daikin brand packaged units sit on the ground or rooftop outside your home and deliver quiet, year-round comfort from a single, self-contained unit. These high-efficiency units operate as an air conditioner during warm weather, and in the winter deliver heat pump-generated warmth.
Peace of mind. That's what a Daikin indoor comfort system offers. Control the temperature of your home from anywhere with an internet connection and know that your home is under control no matter where you are.
A thermostat for your home's HVAC system can range from basic and functional to sophisticated and feature-rich. It all depends on what your specific needs are for your home. Generally speaking, the thermostat controls the operation of your entire HVAC system and provides temperature regulation. New, digitally programmable thermostats, such as a the Daikin One+ smart thermostat, feature both comfort and efficiency-enhancing functionality with their smart technology and remote access.
Additionally, many offer precise humidity control, the ability to vary the temperature in various zones of your home and advanced monitoring capabilities. Some programmable thermostats even allow for the remote control of your HVAC system via wireless devices.
